    An Online Campus with Erasmus+
DECAMP – Open Distributed European Virtual Campus on ICT Security (information and communication technology) is an ERASMUS+ project at Munich University of Applied Sciences (MUAS) on the highly topical issue of ICT security. The project was established by the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics and is funded by the EU with about €415.000.

    Open Technology Online Campus
Specifically selected Computer Science Departments of six EU countries joined to form a strategic partnership for DECAMP. All six partners possess in-depth expertise in the field of ICT security and complement each other strategically. Together, they are developing and implementing a new model of an Open Technology Online Campus.

Some of the main goals of the partnership are

    • the expansion of students' knowledge of ICT security across national borders using virtual, "green" mobility
    • developing and enhancing courses in the area of ICT security at European universities
    • strengthening the international profile of the partner universities
    • creating synergies and bundling resources
    • involving further academic departments at the partner universities
    • joint development of projects in the areas of teaching, research and continuing education.

    Online Courses in DECAMP
Novel, practice-oriented blended-learning online courses for transnational learning are a distinctive feature of the open platform. This also includes setting up innovative virtual and real laboratories. Thus, students are able to take courses at up to six different EU universities in a single semester. The acquired ECTS credits will be recognized by the home university.

The online courses of the participating universities cover ICT security aspects of the following IT areas (available in Spring 2017):

    • Secure Network Management und Computer Networks (Munich University of Applied Sciences, Germany)
    • Security of eHealth Systems (Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Romania)
    • Wireless Network Security (University of Padova, Italy)
    • Applied Computer Forensics and Crime Investigation (University of South Wales, UK)
    • Applied Web Application Security: Attacks and Defense (Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland)
    • Cloud Computing Security (University of Cantabria, Spain)

Coordination and Implementation at Munich University of Applied Sciences, Department of Computer Science and Mathematics
    • Prof. Dr. Gudrun Socher
    • Prof. Dr. Alexandru Soceanu
    • Prof. Dr. Peter Mandl

    Partners
    • Aix-Marseille University, France
    • Siemens AG
    • InfoWorld, Romanian IT market leader for eHealth
