We help to realise your ideas

Whom can businesses and industry partners turn to for their research needs? What types of cooperation exist between the university and its partners in industry? What kinds of funding opportunities are available to professors at the HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences for research projects? Who are the contacts within the university’s administration?

With answers to these and many other questions regarding applied research and development at the HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences the staff of the Science Support Center can help you. Here, you will find specialists with a background in the natural and economic/social sciences waiting to answer your questions. We see ourselves as intermediaries between business, researchers, and administration and act as an interface between the applied sciences at the university and its administration.

First, our responsibilities include the duty to inform and advise professors about

  • research support programmes,
  • funding opportunities and specific project calculations,
  • regulations for research sabbaticals and reduced teaching load,
  • the necessary paperwork.

Second, we offer support throughout the application process, from the concept phase through process planning, cost calculations, and tailoring aims to the support policies of the respective funding agency, to completing forms and submitting the completed application.

Third, we provide information about and support for research at the HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences, both internally (Executive Board, departments, professors) and externally (e.g. partners in cooperative ventures, project sponsors, funding agencies).

Our most important information resource, aside from our website, is forschungsNEWS (ResearchNEWS) , which is published (in German) on a regular basis. Furthermore, we organise events in co-operation with the IHK (German Chamber of Commerce and Industry), the Bayerische Forschungsallianz (Bavarian Research Alliance), as well as other partners.
